OnePlus Two To Launch on April 17?

There have been a handful of rumors and leaks over the past few months which have suggested that the OnePlus One successor will break cover in early 2015. But those dates have come and gone and the company still doesn't have anything to share with us regarding the OnePlus Two. A retailer even had the smartphone listed on a website, even though the handset wasn't unveiled.

The same retailer has made the news yet again and suggested that the OnePlus Two will break cover on the 17th of April. Much like the previous leaks, there is no word from the manufacturer about the launch of the handset, so we're going simply by what the retailer has to say.

The hardware specifications listed by the retailer makes us a little suspicious. According to GeekBuying, the smartphone will have the same 5.5-inch 1080p display and a Snapdragon 805 SoC, which has almost become obsolete since the launch of the Snapdragon 810.

There's also mention of a 16MP camera being used, which if true, will be an upgrade over the 13MP sensor from the first gen model.

The retailer initially claimed that the OnePlus Two will launch on the 10th of February, but then delayed the launch by another month. Now with that timeline passing as well, we're not sure if their word is credible enough to take this report seriously.

However, knowing that the OnePlus One was originally unveiled in late April 2014, we're hopeful of finding out more about the OnePlus Two launch over the coming weeks. - techradar
