The cure for AIDS is here

A second baby has been 'cured' of HIV, marking a huge success in the search for a cure.

Pregnant women infected with the HIV virus are given medication during their pregnancy to prevent passing the virus on to the fetus. In a recent case, a woman who did not take the prescribed medication during her pregnancy, gave birth to a child with extremely high risk of infection. The child was given a three-drug treatment 24 hours after birth. Within six days, the virus began to disappear. By the 11th day it was no longer detectable in the baby's bloodstream.

This is the second baby to be cured of AIDS, making it a huge success in the search for a cure for AIDS. Watch the video below on the first baby that was succesfully treated for the removal of the HIV-virus.
